The Fire Marshal's Office of Howard County is responsible for conducting preventive inspections in all locations permitted by the Howard County Fire Code. The Howard County Volunteer Fire Department (HCVFD) is a completely voluntary organization with no paid firefighters or staff, providing fire prevention, fire protection and tactical rescue services to the citizens of the county.
